“Community” was the key idea behind the newly designed site we created for BEK Communications. As a cooperative, BEK not only provides telephone, Internet access and other communications services, but strives to become an active participant in the communities it serves in south-central North Dakota. We designed the new BEK site with that philosophy in mind.

“As a cooperative, we’re a part of the community and we’re owned by the people we serve. We really wanted to incorporate that community feeling into our site,” says Roxi Pfliiger, Business Manager at BEK Communications. “The design created by iNet Technologies includes a portal for each town in our service area, a calendar for upcoming events, and a section where our users can post classified ads. The site conveys the sense of community that’s so important to us as a cooperative.”

We incorporated online resources that provide convenience for BEK customers, such as information on services, promotions, phone directories and online bill payment. We also integrated BEK’s image, personality and philosophy of community into a site that reflects not just their business but their character as well.
